Youth Ministry

We are a community of middle school (6th-8th grade) and high school (9th-12th grade) teens, adults, and parents centered on and strengthened by a relationship with Jesus and the Catholic Church.

We desire to empower young people to be aware of the blessings of God in our community and encourage the development of their talents and gifts for the unique mission God has for their lives. We empower teens to grow in holiness through Scripture, the Sacraments, prayer/praise and worship, retreats, and weekly ministry opportunities. Spiritual, service, and social activities are offered. For more information or to sign up for our monthly newsletter, contact: Erica Maloney, Coordinator of Youth Ministry, 314-965-3985 x2820 or youthministry@stgerardmajellaparish.org.

High School

All High School Teens are invited to join us for High School Youth Group on Sundays from 12:30pm until 3:00pm.  High School Youth Group is a mixture of prayer, games, faith sharing and social time.

The first Sunday of the month, high school youth group will be open to 8th grade teens.

Middle School

Middle School teens (6th-8th grade) meet on Thursdays from 6-8 pm (much like our Sunday nights for high school teens). We will meet in LL Majella House/Youth Space, hang out, play games, and go deeper into our faith.

Youth Leaders

Erica Maloney

I grew up in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.  Raised in the United Methodist church, a personal relationship with Jesus and the Bible were an important part of my life from early on.  I made my conversion to the Catholic faith after attending a Steubenville youth conference as a high school junior – Jesus in the Eucharist rocked my world. Since my conversion, I have been on mission in Belgium, Holland, Morocco, Mexico, and China. My previous parish experience includes: St. Alban Roe in Wildwood, MO; St. Joseph parish in Pennsylvania; and All Saints-St. Peters. I love my Catholic faith, and watching teens truly come alive with the joy and excitement of following Jesus and belonging to His Church. In my free time, I enjoy creating art, spending time with my husband, Greg, our daughter, Ava, and our adorable (spoiled) pets – Kodiak and Melody.
